At Neam Clinic, our 1:1 ABA Therapy Sessions are designed to assess each learner’s unique needs and develop their skills through personalized, direct instruction in a supportive, one-on-one setting. Our approach focuses on the development of language and related skills as informed by B.F. Skinners analysis of verbal behavior. Our sessions are led by highly trained instructors and grounded in evidence-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) methods, designed to promote meaningful and lasting progress. The therapy is carefully supervised by a certified behavior analyst (Board Certified Behavior Analyst, International Behavior Analyst or Qualified Behavior Analyst) to ensure the highest standards of care. We rely on effective data collection to guide instructional decisions and ensure continuous growth.
At Neam Clinic, we understand that every child is different. Our approach begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify specific areas of growth and development. Our assessments are informed by established frameworks such as the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment & Placement Program (VB-MAPP, Sundberg, 2008) and the Essential For Living Assessment & Curriculum Guide (McGreevy et al., 2012).
From there, we craft individualized treatment plans that include teaching skills such as:
Our dedicated team works closely with families to ensure that therapy goals align with the child’s personal and developmental objectives.
Lastly, a comprehensive plan will be developed to reduce challenging behaviors that are interfering with learning, in addition to addressing other behaviors that interfere with sleep and meal-time routines. By the end of the assessment period, parents and caregivers will be provided with an assessment report, individualised treatment plan (ITP) and a behavior reduction plan (BRP).
After the assessment:Once the plan is in place, it is implemented during one-on-one therapy sessions with a highly trained therapist who is skilled in applying the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The therapy is closely supervised by a certified behavior analyst (Board Certified Behavior Analyst, International Behavior Analyst or Qualified Behavior Analyst) who ensures that teaching strategies are effective and adjusted based on ongoing data collection and learner progress. Throughout the year, regular assessment updates and progress report meetings are scheduled with families to provide detailed insights into their child’s development. These meetings ensure careful tracking of progress, address any adjustments needed in the therapy plan, and keep families fully informed and involved in the learning process.
1:1 ABA therapy sessions can take place at our Clinic or in your home, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am – 7:30pm.
Learn moreWeekend therapy sessions are available for children who have little to no challenging behaviors but require support in developing key milestones, functional skills, social skills or require academic tutoring.
Before starting weekend sessions, an initial intake is conducted, including a brief assessment of your child’s strengths and areas for growth. Following the intake assessment and parent interview, the supervisor will develop an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) outlining specific goals to be addressed.
Once the ITP is finalized, therapy is delivered through one-on-one sessions with a highly trained therapist specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). A certified behavior analyst—Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), International Behavior Analyst (IBA), or Qualified Behavior Analyst (QBA)—will be onsite during weekends to ensure that teaching strategies are effective and continuously refined based on data collection and learner progress.
For optimal learner outcomes, weekend sessions should include opportunities to train Learning Support Assistants (LSAs), parents, or home therapists. This ensures skill continuity across different environments, reinforcing progress beyond therapy sessions.
Throughout the year, regular assessment updates and progress meetings are scheduled with families to provide comprehensive insights into their child’s development. These meetings help track progress, make necessary adjustments to the therapy plan, and keep families fully informed and engaged in the learning process.
1:1 ABA therapy sessions at weekends run from 9-12/1-4 on Saturdays and Sundays.
