Classroom and Group Instruction

At Neam Clinic, our Group and Classroom Instruction service is designed to help children with autism or other developmental delays build the essential skills needed for inclusion and success in school-based environments. Each child will have their own Individualised Treatment Plan (ITP), which is determined by the professionals working with your child. Goals from your child’s ITP are incorporated into the Group and Classroom Instruction program and are continuously monitored to ensure your child is making progress.

Our program focuses on:

  1. Teaching language and communication skills to enhance both verbal and non-verbal interactions.
  2. Strengthening classroom readiness skills, including following group and individual instructions, staying on task, self-care skills and adapting to structured routines.
  3. Facilitating positive social interactions and encouraging the development of meaningful, lasting peer relationships.
  4. Building core academic skills, with targeted instruction in reading, writing, and early math concepts to support classroom learning.

The program is conducted in a classroom setting with a maximum of 10 pupils, supported by one main teacher and three experienced therapists. For children who require more individualized support, a 1:1 therapist can be provided within the group setting to ensure they receive the attention they need to make progress.

Using evidence-based practices and advanced data collection systems, we continuously monitor each child’s progress to ensure that their goals are being met and that they are successfully generalizing learned skills. Our approach is designed to create an inclusive and supportive space, preparing them for long-term success both in school and beyond.
